Mister leather Belgium 2020, Gael, interviews some of the MSC Belgium members! Read the story of Geert and Jeroen below!
Gael: Hello Geert and Jeroen ! Can you guys introduce yourselves?
Jeroen : We live in Erpe Mere. It’s a small town in East Flanders. I’m 31 years and my gaydaddy Geert is 44 years old. We are in a relationship for almost 10 years. In my professional life I work as a HR-consultant for different companies, that I support in their recruitment, payroll and employer branding.
Geert : I am a daddy of 2 children from my previous relationship. I work as a technical advisor for a technical school in Geraardsbergen.
Gael: What are your main fetishes? For how long have you been in the scene ? And how did you discover your interest in this fetish?
Jeroen : My main fetishes? Well where should I start. I discovered leather in my youth and it immediately fascinated me. At the age of 19 I bought a first leather harness and since then, leather has been a huge part of my sex life. Besides leather, I also have a weakness for Adidas.
Geert: l discovered my fetish side at a quite late age. I was 35 years old. Since I started dating with Jeroen, a new world has opened up for me. I was also confronted with a new vocabulary: Top, Bottom, Versa, Leather, Rubber, Puppyplay, … We got in a discovery mode, but I sticked quickly to the leather look. I love being dominant, and Jeroen doesn’t seem to mind at all (laugh).

Gael: Can you find a way to live your fetish in your daily life ?
Jeroen: I am experiencing a stronger fetish since a few years now. I feel like I’m becoming more confident and that I found the real me. Two months ago, I posted a picture with my leather pants on my public Facebook for the first time. This may seem like a small step to some, but for me personally it was a huge and meaningful step. Fetish and leather has also strengthened my relationship with Geert. We have grown even closer towards each other.

Geert: My work for school and my children makes this journey a little bit more difficult. I am still in a growing process to bring fetish into daily life. But wearing leather among my gay friends isn’t a big deal anymore. And I agree, the fetish side brought us closer together. We truly appreciate and enjoy our life today in all its’ aspects.
Gael: You are young members of MSC Belgium. How did you find out about this fetish-club and what did you make decide to you become a member ?
Jeroen: I heard about MSC Belgium a while ago, but we did not make the step to membership. Since last year we started going out in the fetish-scene more and more. We got in touch with new fetish-friends, that already were members. They introduced us to the club, what made the step easier. We are really looking forward to participate in the upcoming meetings to discover new fetish-friends. Besides that it’s also big plus to come together, socialize with like minded and wear my leather.
Geert: Jeroen is more active on social media than me. I get the updates and planning around the club’s Fetish Socials from him. We became member this year, and our first real life contact was at the Fetish Market during Darklands, where I was really happy to sell a pair of leather pants. The next planned meeting will definitely be a fetish Social, so we keep fingers crossed the COVID-19 crisis will be over soon. We are looking forward to socialize with you guys.
Gael: How are you experiencing the Corona-crisis? What do you miss the most? And what are you looking forward to pick up again.
“COVID-19 made me realize that we should be more grateful for what we have.”
Jeroen: It made me realize that we should be more grateful for what we have. I am social person who really needs social contacts. I really miss that. I miss the usual day-to-day things like meeting friends without limitations. We also have a small stay in Ardennes, where we can escape the busy life, and I miss going there as well. I can go on like this… .
Geert: At school it’s the most normal thing to be close to children. But for now it’s hard to get in touch with them from distance. I am not getting used to this. Hopefully we can start to go back to our normal life, and go out without restrictions soon. We were supposed to get married in may. That has been postponed to 2021. I really hope we will be given a real good summer too.
Gael: Major fetish events are cancelled. Did you plan to go to some of them ?
Jeroen & Geert: Our last fetish-event was Darklands back in March. Folsom was planned but unfortunately cancelled. We still have fetish pride Maspalomas planned this year, so let’s cross our fingers. And of course we hope to meet a lot of new fetish friends soon on the MSC Belgium’s Fetish Socials.
Gael: Where do you see yourself in 10 years from now?
Jeroen: Soon we will get married, our data was postponed by the COVID-19 crisis. I hope we get the opportunity within 10 years 😊. I don't really look too far into the future. I hope I can continue to be myself and live my fetish without restriction.

Geert: That’s a difficult question… I don’t think it will look much different than what we have now. I will keep enjoying (gay)life to the fullest. I am planning on travelling a lot ( wink to Jeroen ). My kids will possibly grow out of home, and I will hopefully get the most out of the fetish life. I think MSC will help me on that.
